Today is Thanksgiving in the U.S.
Families and friends will get together to enjoy what is possibly a rare event – everyone sitting around the table and eating a homemade meal.
We’ll laugh about memories from our shared past. We might tease each other over embarrassments. Maybe we’ll watch some football.
And hopefully you’ll share what you have to be thankful for.
What are you thankful for?: warm house? Income? Food every day? An automobile and the means to purchase fuel? Health? A house full of friends and relatives? Clothes that keep you warm and covered?
Are you thankful for your sweetheart?
Are you thankful: He/she is part of your life? For memories you’ve created together during the past 12 months? He/she worked with you to bring more life to your relationship? He/she gave you grace when you weren’t the kindest of sweethearts?
On this Thanksgiving day, 2012, I challenge you to take just 5 minutes alone with your sweetheart. During those 5 minutes, thank your sweetheart for the romantic things he/she has done for you in the last 12 months that made you happy to be in relationship with them.
Make it specific, meaningful and honest.
If you’d really like to start creating more romance in your relationship during the next 12 months, make this a weekly event instead of annual one.
Hello! I just would like to give a huge thumbs up for the great info you have here on this post. I will be coming back to your blog for more soon.
