Kissing Bough

OK. Maybe it’s just after Christmas. But try this anyway.

In the UK, dating back to the middle ages and before Christmas Trees became popular, a popular Christmas decoration was the Kissing Bough. Create your own Kissing Bough for your sweetheart.

Make or purchase a hollow, ball-shaped hoop. Cover it with Holly, Ivy, Rosemary, Bay, Fir or other evergreen plants. Place red apples Inside the hoop. Finish the bough by hanging a large bunch of mistletoe from the bottom of the ball.

Tell you sweetheart what you’ve created and ask her/him to meet you there at least twice a day for the next week or month.
