The Itsy-Bitsy Spider

Remember the children’s rhyme about “The its-bitsy spider went up the waterspout”? Remember the finger motions?

Have some fun with the rhyme and motions for this Romantic Interlude.

Ask your sweetheart to join you singing the rhyme and doing the motions. Each person will contribute one hand to create the climbing spider.

Sounds easy doesn’t it.

Try it. You may find it’s more difficult than you think. Keep trying and see if you can get through the whole rhyme without missing a single finger-motion. You’re sure to have fun trying.

And if you don’t know the motions, just ask you kids or look it up.

Robert, a hopeless romantic
